PRVA Board Member Honored

Laurie's name in lights!

November 2003 Laurie Guptill, who has served on our board for over a decade, was honored by PreservatiON MASS this month at an event in Fenway Park. Laurie has been an active volunteer for PreservatiON Mass for many years, donating her marketing and publishing skills.

Founded in 1985, PreservatiON MASS (formerly known as Historic Massachusetts, Inc.) is the only statewide non-profit organization dedicated to preserving the Commonwealth’s historic and cultural heritage. Fenway Park is one of them.

During the event, Fenway Park's scoreboard announced WELCOME PRESERVATION MASS.  When they were thanking those who volunteer their services to this worthwhile organization, their names appeared on the scoreboard.  Laurie's name appeared on the screen!

The specific location for the celebration was the DOT406 Club on Yawkey Way.  This club/bar has an area with park type seating, and a glass wall overlooking Fenway Park’s home plate.  A tour afterwards, which took the group up to the Green Monster area and onto the field, concluded the event.
