April 2007 - reaching most PRVA members - www.paulreverevillage.com

2007 is Fireplace Inspection Year!  Board Information
ALL fireplaces must be inspected and cleaned (if necessary) between April 1 and October 1.

A certificate of inspection from a licensed chimney sweep must be submitted to the Board no later than October 1, 2007. Most of our unit owners use Top Hat in Grafton. We are not officially endorsing Top Hat, you may use any licensed chimney sweep. For details on a discount Top Hat is offering PRVA, call (508) 839-9997 . Fireplace cleaning and inspection is a safety issue that concerns ALL of us at PRVA. Homeowners and tenants are reminded that our fireplaces are NOT made to withstand continual, hot wood fires and are NOT to be used as a primary source of heat for your unit.

Financials through February 07 are posted here.

Snow, Snow and More Snow!

Save Heating Dollars

The St. Patrick's Day storm was a long, wet, icy one and the Board received many emails and phone calls from concerned homeowners- ( on Concord Rd., we couldn't get up the hill to Bunker Hill until later Saturday afternoon)-

The Board met on Monday, March 19 to discuss the snow plowing. The storm began Friday night and Hayes Trucking plowed throughout the night. The storm had been predicted to turn to rain on Sat. morning. Hayes returned Sat. afternoon after his crew had rested from the night’s plowing, however many residents had already started to shovel themselves out by this time. Hayes began by re-opening the roads, then had the bobcat open the longest and most impassable driveways first. With 98 driveways, some homeowners’ had to wait throughout Saturday afternoon into Sunday, as the heavy spring snow took an exceptionally long time to remove from the individual driveways. Hayes returned Sunday to finish the driveways that had been missed and to scrape some of the melting ice from the road ways.  Hayes Trucking has been plowing PRVA for over 10 years with an exceptional performance record, and the Board has every reason to believe that this will continue for future storms. Homeowners’ are reminded that they are NOT to contact Hayes Trucking directly- please call the Board phone 508-581-9531 or email Board@paulreverevillage.com with questions or problems. Thank you- Laurie Guptill, Clerk PRVA

Save Heating $$ with a NEW insulated steel garage door! The original garage doors are a wood frame with Masonite insert- they have no insulating properties and are not tightly fitted to the tracks, allowing cold air to blow into your garage and unit.

New garage doors are an insulated steel door with a polyurethane for an 11x r factor! Each garage door frame at PRVA is just a little different in size, so Ray custom fits each door for a tight fit and seal. Ray has replaced most of the garage doors at PRVA, so call today for PRVA discounts and price quotes!

PRVA Nuptials! Job Opportunity

Jonathan and I live at 2 Village Green and we just got married on March 15!!!!!!!!!! We eloped in Vermont at a GORGEOUS bed and breakfast!!! How exciting!!!!!!!!!!!!! Jonathan and Holly Cooper

Hello, this is Pablo Hernandez from 1 Concord Rd. I married Olga Ceron, an ophtalmologist finishing her surgical retina fellowship at MEE. We got married in Cartagena, Colombia, in the oldest church in town (Iglesia de Santo Domingo), the reception was at a Spanish colonial mansion. It was a 3 days of celebration with family and friends from all over the world. We are finishing our honeymoon in Negril Jamaica and we hope to make it to the meeting on the 29th. Pablo

Congratulations to you both!

My name is Cyndi Agbey and my brother lives in PRV. I have a Jewelry business called Lia Sophia.

If anyone is looking for a job opportunity or would just like to Host a show it's a LOT of Fun! I'm not kidding when I tell you that I make anywhere from $300-$500 per show (about 2-3 hours) and everyone LOVES this jewelry. Even if you Host a show my Hostesses average about $400-$500 of FREE jewelry. Right now I'm looking for 3 new people to join my team. It may be just the job opportunity someone in the Paul Revere Village is looking for. It's a very INEXPENSIVE way to own your own business and work as much or as little as you want and the Company itself is Fantastic. Not to mention the jewelry is inexpensive, lifetime guaranteed, and BEAUTIFUL.

Bee Thoughts PRVA Book Club

Maureen Bligh of 13 Meetinghouse writes, "I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on keeping the bees off the decks in the spring/summer?  There have been so many around and was wondering if anyone had any suggestions. I did read if you put the toilet bowl cleaner inserts (you know the ones that hang off the side of the rims of the toilets) under your patio table it is supposed to help keep them away. Haven't tried that though. Just a thought."

Maureen, check out our page on bees. If anyone has other remedies we could post on our page, let us know.
