There have been tests for ledge, underground
water, etc. in preparation for installing the new 30,000
gallon underground water cistern. This water storage will
be used in the event of a fire and is a requirement by the
town and Millbury Fire Dept. for our occupancy permit. More
on this important issue here.
Wednesday
is the member meeting at the Grafton Elementary School.
Details are in the packet you received. If you did not receive
a packet, it is very important you let the board know.

Approved Deck Screen

The board recently granted the request of a
unit owner to modify her deck. Theresa asked the board
if she could attach a bamboo divider to the deck divider to
provide more privacy. The bamboo divider is simply a roll-up
blind that is the appropriate size. It is attached on two
hooks at the top of the divider and unrolled. More

Informed citizens make the best decision makers. We understand
that. As this applies to our democratic country, it also
applies to our Association. We have democratic governing
documents, an elected board of governors, and we vote on
issues that directly affect us.
There are specific association resources available which
provide information gathered from thousands of associations
like ours. Two of these resources are now made available to
you as unit owners.
CAI offers excellent articles with recommendations
from association attorneys, contractors, board members and
other experts in the field.
Regenesis offers advice, forms,
articles on such things as Accounting Issues, Ask the
HOA Expert, Borrowing Money and more...
To get the passwords and access both, link

One of my passions is photography and there is SO much to
learn. Sometimes, though, it's the simple things that make better pictures.
Recently I came across an article that contained some very simple tricks that
anyone can do with their existing camera to capture better shots. I thought it
was well worth sharing. 1. Get closer - whether it's a
person, plant or old barn, fill more of the frame with the object you want to
stand out. More...

Simple
Photography Tips 1. Get closer - whether it's
a person, plant or old barn, fill more of the frame with the object you
want to stand out. 2. Don't center it - a basic
rule of good photographic composition is to divide the frame into
sections like a tic-tac-toe game. Try to position the main subject in
different quadrants, like the bottom half or off to one side. 3.
Sun behind you - a simple thing, yet easy to forget as you are
snapping pictures. 4. Get down, get up - stop
shooting at eye level. Try the bird's eye view or the worm's view. 5.
Better film - buy better film (if you haven't gone digital) for
your outdoor photos. Start with 100 ASA/ISO film. 6. Get
up early - Dawn and dusk are the best times to capture scenic
moments. Since lighting is lower, use a tripod for the longer exposure
time necessary. So, do you think you can put these tips
to use? What DO you think? |
