The PRVA Annual Homeowners' meeting was held
Wednesday October 20 at the Grafton Elementary School. A
quorum of 65 proxies and homeowners was met by the scheduled
start of the meeting at 7pm. President Fred Stevens addressed
the homeowners and reviewed the year's accomplishments and the
schedule for the underground water tank installation. Steven
Richer, CPA, reviewed the 2005 annual budget and answered
homeowner questions and concerns.
Since no one ran against the
incumbents, the current 5 board members were reelected. The
President now serves a 3 year term and the Treasurer a 2
year term. The other three board members remain on a one year
cycle.

Possible Holiday Tour
|
The
Ole Woodsman - Thoughts of Fall
|
|
Several of you have expressed an interest in
participating in a holiday tour. The
tentative date is December 18th which is the Sunday before
Christmas and the day Santa comes through PRVA on his fire
engine.
Please let us know if you'd like your decorated house
to be on the tour, inside or outside. We are also looking for
a party host for the end of the tour.

For anyone taking walks in the woods or driving around in the country, this year has been a spectacular
autumn. The colors of the maples have been and still are in
many cases more brilliant red, the yellows of the birches and
the quaking aspens have been marigolds against the sky with
every shade of red from orange to magenta. Such autumns were not always
possible. Two hundred years ago this state was almost barren of
trees. More here.
|
The Old Woodsman always invites your comments
and suggestions. Just
send them here and they will be passed along.

and was always helpful with my many questions. He said
he believes what he will charge for his services will be
less than others he has seen advertised."

Laurie and Shania climbed Bear Mountain recently. Shania loves
hiking, according to Laurie. Read
here.
Michelle
and friend hiked and camped on Mt. Graylock, highest
mountain in MA.

Ellen suggests we create "a place where
residents who had stuff to sell or give away, or wanted to
know if anyone had a particular item that they didn't need.
(for instance, I have metal closet doors that someone could
have it if they wanted to replace theirs). If someone was
looking for a used refrigerator, they could go onto this board

The holidays approaching bring
out the best recipes, don't they? Laurie has submitted a very
fall holiday tasting delight - check it out!
|
Our doggie path has been
refreshed by Laurie over the weekend. It's a nice safe,
off-road area to walk your dogs and they love the feel and
smells of being 'in the woods'. Now that frost is imminent,
the danger of ticks is lessened too. Check
it out!
