Many
people
have
asked
about
FiOS
(Fiber
Optic
Internet).
Verizon
FiOS
Internet
Service
is a
broadband
service
designed
to
provide
Internet
access
with
maximum
connection
speeds
of
up
to
50
Mbps
or 30
Mbps
downstream
and
20Mbps
or 5
Mbps
upstream
(that
means
it's
fast),
depending
on
where
you
live.
FiOS
is
provided
on
Verizon's
state-of-the-art
fiber-optic
network.
The
consumer
packages
include
a
standard
suite
of
services
including
access
to
newsgroups,
up
to 9
Verizon.net
email
accounts,
online
services,
and
10
MB
of
personal
Web
space.
Optional
services
are
also
available
for
a
fee.
As
of
now,
Verizon
FiOS
is
not
available
in
our
community
yet.
Parts
of
Millbury
have
been
wired
for
it,
but
we
haven’t. They
are
wiring
the
parts
of
Millbury
with
lines
on
the
poles
first,
then
lines
underground
later.
Our
treasurer,
Eric
is
in
communication
with
the
Verizon
engineer
handling
Millbury
and
is
waiting
to
hear
back. He
will
ask
about
what
costs
there
are
to
PRVA,
etc
and
what
kind
of
permission
they
need
since
we
are
private
(off
the
street).
In
the
meantime,
residents
can
go
to

|
Winter Parking |
|
We will be enforcing the "Winter No Parking" rules
again this year. If you are not familiar with the rules,
they are on the
website and will be posted at the
mailboxes before the end of November.
The general rule is when the first flake falls, MOVE
YOUR CAR! There is no parking on Bunker Hill during
snowfalls.

When you hear the plows, please move your cars from the
driveways, so they can be plowed as well. Please let the
plows do their job. |
