The PRV logo was provided and
developed by Randy and Laurie Struckus. With Randy's photographic skills
and Laurie's technical skills, they
were able to provide images for the signs, stationery, and newsletters.
Joanne Plante asked them to find a picture of Paul Revere a
number of years ago. Randy and Laurie's work can be seen on our signs,
stationery, and website!
'Brownie'
is the official name of Paul Revere's horse, according to
the owner of The Steakloft in Northborough. Carolyn Johnson told us
that Rex Trailer once stopped in at The Steakloft and said
he thought the horse's name was Brownie.
|
|
|
He later verified
that information. AND, when Paul Revere took his famous
ride, he went right down Rt 20, passing right by where The
Steakloft is located now, at 369 West Main Street, in
Northborough!
If
you want an excellent meal in a cozy (not small) environment, you really
should check out this restaurant! The prime rib is a
favorite, and, if you like chicken, they have one selection
that involves sliced almonds and angel hair pasta...OH SO
GOOD! Don't we look like we are enjoying it?

Our garden entrance was enhanced and shaped many years
ago by Jan McLaughlin. Jan created the current shape of the area, and
planted daffodils (with the help of Jodi) and day lilies, which she purchased in
Vermont. She also planted sun drops, also called primroses, lavender and
one of the hostas. One year,
she tells me, she planted a bunch of bulbs in the first little wagon on
the corner and it looked wonderful! Over the years, Cheryl Brady and
others have added sedum and other perennials and annuals. The area has
grown into a very impressive entrance area, don't you agree? |
